“You are what you are and where you are because of what’s gone into your mind. You can change what you are and where you are by changing what goes into your mind.” - Zig Ziglar
When I first read this quote it intrigued me, because for the first time in my life I actually believed I could change. I really did not know how, so I would always read that quote. What stuck out to me the most was “ by changing what goes into your mind”
For years as a believer in Jesus I would ask myself, what sense does it make for me to hear a sermon or even a positive message in person. Then get right back in my car and listen to some form of music that was the very opposite of the message I just heard? How could I listen to such an uplifting message than listen to something that would downgrade mankind.
That quote was from Zig Ziglar and from that point on, I started to look into more of his material. The more I listened the more excited I would feel and I started to view this world differently and I really understood the struggle in today’s world. Every single person lacks hope. When I realized this was a true factor I wanted to represent everything Zig ZIglar stood for, which was hope. I am glad to say as of November 20, 2015 I became a Ziglar Legacy Certified Trainer. Equipped to speak and train others on, Building the Best You, Goal Setting and Achievement, and Building winning relationship.
So I have two questions for you, what is your purpose? Does it involve building hope in yourself and others? Share and leave comments. Thanks for reading!
